The Alice

Introducing The Alice in Princeton, New Jersey, a project that represents over 18 months of meticulous planning, out-of-the-box thinking, and innovative problem-solving. This venture, undertaken for BFS, includes framing a 163,000 square foot, four-story building and handling all facade systems and rain screens. Extensive collaboration with the construction manager began by working on one section of the building while other trades completed the other two wings. Coordinated with digital overlays and utilizing Revit, we initiated the project with incredible momentum. Our framing team progressed through floor and wall cycles efficiently, emphasizing safety, precision, and quality.

INNOVATION & QUALITY: 163,000 SQ FT TRIUMPH

SUMMARY

The Alice project features a remarkable array of design elements, including over 37,000 square feet of field-fabricated Swiss Pearl panels, offering high-end fiber cement panels at exceptional cost savings. With over 23,000 square feet of aPlank aluminum cladding and 16,600 square feet of ATAS metal panels, the project showcases both value engineering and high-quality finishes. The challenge of installing over 20,000 square feet of stacked stone and 3,500 square feet of limestone banding required meticulous planning and precision. The final touch encompassed over 10,000 linear feet of custom-designed aluminum trim, transition molding, channels, and drip edges to ensure air and water screens were part of the rain screen design, resulting in a remarkable architectural accomplishment.
